Legal Affairs Office
In accordance with the decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research with resolution no. 155\ 2015, on adopting the organizational chart for the Biotechnology Centre, and based on article 9, the Legal Affairs Office takes over the following tasks and disciples:
- Giving advice and legal consultancies to what is presented from Director-General of the Centre, administrations managers, branches managers, office and heads of departments.
- Prepare legal memos in relation to the Centre’s activity.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts and conventions that the Centre is a part of, developing a template for it, and completing all the needed legal aspects.
- Preparing, drafting and reviewing of regulations and decisions issued by the Director-General of the Centre.
- Preparing the legal researches and studies in relation to the Centre.
- Follow-up to legislations, laws and regulation changes, organize it and save it.
- Follow-up on legal cases from and on the Centre, prepare briefs supported by the required documents and work on providing specialized legal review.
- Coordinate with the public administration of law in the Ministry of Justice in providing opinion on legal matters that the Centre sees necessary to present.
The Legal Affairs Office manager and staff have prepared several legal researches in the field of scientific research, and have wrote legal books, which are:
- A Guide on Scientific Research Legislations and Explanation on the Provision to Employers on the Job in Scientific Centres.
- Protection of Permanent Diplomatic Missions in Public International Law.
