An introduction on the Information and Publishing Office:
The Information and Publishing Office is considered one of the main and effective offices in the Libyan Authority Centre for Biotechnology for how it plays a prominent role in presenting the Centre. The office supervises the scientific accounts on the Research Gate.
The tasks of the Information and Publishing office:
- Issue scientific journals and generalizations and oversee the media activities in the Centre.
- Follow-up on what is being published on the Centre in the audio, visual and print media.
- Suggest the media policy to the Centre and set-up plans, programs and works to execute it.
- Prepare a database of the publicity activities, media and public awareness on the importance of knowledge, technology and innovation.
- Work on raising the public awareness on the importance of scientific research, technical development and identifying the Centre’s activities.
- Develop the role of the media involving promoting the scientific research concepts and requirements.
- Use various media tools and methods in identifying the Centre and its role in executing the scientific research strategies.
- Prepare the media development programs requirements and necessities according to power and weakness and device and equipment.
- Invite media professionals to attend conferences, seminars, interviews, workshops and training programs organized and executed by the Centre.
- Set-up a database as a reference to the published researches, scientific and research cadres, labs and equipment in the Centre.
- Give scientific advice and counselling to the administration of the Centre in the media field.
