- Organizational Affiliation:
The Head of Career Planning and Development is directly associated with the Director-General of the Centre.
Achieve quality in performance through integrating the Centre’s departments, offices and modern views in scientific research.
Prepare plans and strategies, develop administrative management and develop the workers skills, elevate the level of investment and develop the research process in all its components ,and evaluate and upgrade it.
- Objectives:
- Supervise and coordinate with the organizational departments to achieve the overall objective of the Centre.
- Propose strategies and the goals of the research plans of the Centre in the light of the adopted strategies for the Centre’s plan that are received from the competent authorities.
- Participate in preparing the strategic plan for the Centre that meets the objectives, vision and message of the Centre, by coordinating with the Centre’s different departments and follow-up its execution and accreditation.
- Follow-up the execution of the approved annual training plan of the Centre through following-up reports that are submitted to the competent authorities.
- Propose developing the organizational structure and guide of the Centre and follow-up its execution and accreditation.
- Work on incorporating the E-governance to the departments and beyond.
- Oversee the identification of the Centre’s needs from members of the Training Commission and follow-up on annual plans to attract them.
- Oversee the plans and programs to provide training, recovery and dispatch opportunities for the Centre’s staff.
- Oversee, monitor and process the phenomena that lead to low fulfilment or poor performance of the employees of the Centre.
- Supervise the twinning agreements and partnership with relevant Centres and organizations.
- Supervise the Centre’s participation in Arab, regional and international organizations and associations.
- Represent the Centre in local, regional and international events and activities and take on actins based on its results.
- Contact internal and external training bodies to know what programs they offer, and coordinate to nominate staff.
- Prepare periodic reports of the department’s achievements and the necessary suggestions to develop it and submit it to the Director-General of the Centre.
- Propose an annual budget for the department.
- Take on any other tasks assigned by the Director-General of the Centre.
The Department of Planning and Career Development takes on the following tasks:
- Set planning rules and foundations for the Centre’s work and participate with the respective departments in preparing the Centre’s budget.
- Prepare all of the planning projects that achieve the Centre’s goals in the light of the general policy of the country.
- Follow-up and evaluate plans periodically and prepare reports on the progress of implementation and submit them to the Director-General of the Centre.
- Set the necessary timelines for the Centre’s plans.
- Clarify all obstacles that may arise during the implementation of the plans.
- Prepare periodic reports on the departments’ works and submit it t the Director-General of the Centre.
- Follow-up the execution of the annual plan for training and qualification of the Centre.
- Any other tasks assigned to the department.
And the Department of Planning and Career Development conducts its tasks through the following departments:
- Department of Scientific Consulting and Analytical Services, which is responsible for the following tasks:
- Provide scientific consulting to different organizations as well as provide the required analytical services through the reference laboratory and other labs, scientific department, and scientific and technical commission that follow the Centre.
- Issue the results of analysis of food or materials received from public and private authorities periodically.
- Any other tasks assigned to the department.
- Sample Reception Unit, which takes on the following tasks:
- Prepare a sample results database.
- Preserve records, documents and results related to samples.
- Contribute in advertising and publicity of the Centre’s sample analysis capabilities.
- Contribute in the adoption of the Centre’s coefficient according to the standard specifications.
- Any other tasks assigned to the unit.
- Department of Technical Affairs, which takes on the following tasks:
- Prepare the necessary technical studies, regulations and engineering reports to organize and develop all facilities related to the Centre.
- Sustained monitoring to provide all technical needs to the Centre.
- Prepare technical specifications for construction projects for the Centre and follow-up its execution according to the set plans and contracts with the executing companies.
- Any other tasks assigned to the department.
- Department of Documentation and Statistics, which takes on the following tasks:
- Document information and scientific reports and put t in an easily accessible archive when needed.
- Record and tabulate visual and audio events and scientific interviews within the scope of the Centre’s work and activities, and especially documenting conferences, seminars, exhibitions and workshops that the Centre organizes.
- Document all of the Centre’s properties from equipment, devices, machines…etc. And set it in an archive that is easy to access when needed.
- Statisticize and inventory of all employees of the Centre and prepare a quarterly report to the Director-General of the Centre in-coordination with the Financial and Administrative Affairs Department of the Centre.
- Any other tasks assigned to the Centre.
- Department of Training and Qualification:
- Work on developing the skills of the Centre’s employees to perform the works assigned to them with precision and the required quality by coordinating with the Warranty and Quality Office and other following bodies of the Centre.
- Prepare the Centre’s needs from technical, scientific and research cadres that are to be trained and qualified in accordance with the annual training plan by coordinating with the following bodies of the Centre each based on its specialization.
- Set-up an annual training and qualification plan by coordinating with the following bodies of the Centre and follow-up its execution with the competent authorities.
- Propose and follow-up the execution of training clauses in the Centre’s draft conventions and contracts with other authorities.
- Department of Scientific Cooperation and Organizations, which takes on the following tasks:
- Coordinate with Arabic and international organizations and bodies on scientific, technical and technological cooperation.
- Participate in preparing agreements with organizations and scientific centres home and abroad.
- Prepare and execute plans to set-up scientific activities ( conferences, seminars, workshops, discussion circles and scientific exhibitions) in the field of the Centre’s scientific and technical specialization to contribute in elevating the scientific and technical capabilities of the institutions and the individuals.
- Propose the appropriate mechanisms for the flow of information and data between the Centre and other sectors and work on it.
- Set-up plans and programs to take advantage of regional and international organizations and institutions programs and agreements that are held in universities and local and international scientific Centres, especially in the field of training, scientific visits, analysis services and providing equipment by coordinating with the following bodies of the Centre.
- Department of Higher Education, which specializes in:
- Prepare a database for researchers and staff of the Centre with Master’s and Doctorate’s degree.
- Follow-up on the Centre’s postgraduate students who conduct their thesis and researches in the Centre’s labs by coordinating with their universities.
- Work on establishing a postgraduate programs in the field Biotechnology by coordinating with local and international universities and academies after taking permission from the competent authorities.
- Coordinate with universities and higher institutes wishing to train and teach their students in the Centre from scientific and theoretical perspective in the field of Biotechnology, and assign researchers with postgraduate qualifications to teach them and professionals to train them.
- Supervise and follow-up university and higher institutions students who conduct their graduate projects in the Centre’s labs.
Any other tasks assigned to the department
